Student of the Month: Sept + Oct 2018

It's been a busy start to the new term and we are finally ready to announce our Student of the Month for September + October 2018. MSoM's Student of the Month for September 2018 is Vishali Somasekaran, from our location at 3100 Ridgeway Drive. She first started her piano lessons with Mr. Andrew at 5 years of age and has grown into an accomplished, young pianist. She received First Class Honours with Distinction and First Class Honours for her Grade 4 RCM Piano Exam, Grade 7 RCM Piano Exam, and Grade 8 RCM Piano Exam. Her dedication to her craft is also evident in her top Theory Results, scoring a Perfect 100% on her Basic Rudiments, 99% on Intermediate Rudiments and 99% on Advanced Rudiments. Vishali is also a talented vocalist – scoring a 90% on her Grade 5 RCM Exam. She always attends her lessons with a positive attitude, and a beautiful smile. Congratulations to Vishali, to her Parents, and to her piano teacher Mr. Andrew, for their dedication and hard work.

We’re pleased to announce that our Student of the Month for October 2018 is Bonnie Zhang, from our location at Derry & Millcreek. “Busy Bonnie Bee”, the nickname given to her by her piano teacher Ms. Marina, has many creative outlets: drawing, singing (pop to musical theatre), Chinese Folk Dancing, reading and writing (she won a Silver Award for her poem). She loves to immerse herself in a wide variety of music, noting many different styles and composers, in her piano lessons with Ms. Marina. Last year she began competing at Peel Music Festival for Grade 5 RCM Studies, placing 1st. This year she won 1st and 3rd Place at Peel Music Festival, and was also awarded a Scholarship. Congratulations Bonnie on a job well done!! A Special Thank You goes out to her parents for their dedication, and to her piano teacher Ms. Marina!
